Finally, enough is enough, I changed vets. First visit at new vet, a full head to tail assessment done and walla, a diagnosis was done, with a poor prognosis. My little fella succumbed to Prostate cancer (that was diagnosed with an xray) within 4 months.

Dr. Montgomery had a wonderful 'bedside' manner and gentle touch. I could tell she loves her work. The rest of the staff were also wonderful, attentive, and efficient. I felt like my cat was in good hands, and he was.

If you really care about your 4 legged friend, seek out another vet, but research them out too.

Don’t go unless your pet needs antibiotic. They most definitely like to dish them out.

We just switched Vets due to my dog having some issues with his legs, needing surgery, and we wanted to feel comfortable at our vet. Shaunessy is our new place! Dr.Nevin is amazing and cares about my dog. She was absolutely great. If your looking for a vet that has friendly employees, is easy to get into, and has just an all around great attitude as a business, Come here! I'm so happy we switched.

We just moved to BC and woke up one morning to discover our cat had eaten part of a string toy. In a panic I started looking up clinics in the area and found Shaughnessy Vet Hospital. They had an opening right away and took excellent care of my Benny.

I brought my little friend (6yr old) dog in for a possible UTI, after chasing him around the yard to collect a urine specimen, I was told it was too old and a catheter needed to be inserted. Both specimens showed the same result. So, antibiotics were prescribed. After about 2 weeks, went back as he continued with the same problem. So another antibiotic was Rx. This continued every 2 weeks, without getting better. They just kept checking the urine, no other tests.

Lucky for him, he didn't require surgery, and passed the toy pieces within 24 hours.

Customer service is good however there is lack of communication. I brought in my daughter's puppy Kooper to be spayed and they went over the procedure and cost of it and left. Within the hour I got a call saying that her blood cell count is low and that we will have to postpone which is fine. When I came in to pick her up I was charge $198 for an examination bill that I was not aware of. I have no problem paying for service but I should have been notified of this before hand. This experience has left a bad impression of the Clinic. How would you feel if this happened to you?
